# ODOMETER_SOURCE_NOT_SUPPORTED

> 409 — the device does not support the requested odometer source.

**HTTP status:** `409` · **Code:** `ODOMETER_SOURCE_NOT_SUPPORTED`

## Cause

[`PUT /v2/api/vehicles/{id}/odometer/source`](/v2/api-reference/put-vehicles-id-odometer-source) asked for a source the vehicle's device cannot provide, for example `CAN` on a device without CAN support.

## What to do

Do not retry unchanged. Use a source the device supports.
