# INVALID_INPUT

> 422 — a parameter or the body is missing, cannot be parsed, or fails validation.

**HTTP status:** `422` · **Code:** `INVALID_INPUT`

## Cause

Every model-binding failure returns the description shown: a missing required parameter, a value of the wrong type, or a body in the wrong format. Validation inside an endpoint returns its own description, for example `pageSize cannot exceed 500 for this endpoint.`

## What to do

Check every required parameter, the types of the values (integers for IDs, ISO 8601 strings for date-times), and the request body against the endpoint's reference page.
